Yeah! My utterly cool female cap, ursuped from my Mommy! I have been dethroned by my own daughter. Her favorite person on Earth is currently 宝贝. She was widowed at a young age and singlehandedly brought up my Father and my Uncle while working from home as a seamstress. Anyway, she’s an independent person who insists on going out on her own on public transport so that we “do not get in her way”.

My generation must be getting soft despite being better educated. The helper, grandparents, parents to 1 child. It’s amazing how people from her generation could take care of 2 or more grandchildren, housekeep, cook for the whole family. She was our main caregiver during my childhood as both my parents were busy working. Here’s the front view of my dearest 87 year old sprightly grandmother. 婆婆 do I look cool in my helmet and on my strider? Do you want me to perform some stunts for you? 🙂 Zachary doing a demonstration on his strider. Rows and rows of beautiful yachts… When can I ever own one? When’s the next Singapore Pool $5 million toto?! The entourage which was made up of 4 generations and extended family, made its way down to the boardwalk.
KNAPSACK ON MY BACK ZIP
Getting all set and ready to zip along the boardwalk!! Just can’t wait to gogogo! Hmm… if I start saving up now, maybe it will take me, say, another 100 years? to afford a place here? Will have to throw in the money for an electric wheelchair :p It’s a piece of tranquility in the middle of hectic Singapore. Now you know why people pay a bomb to buy a place at Sentosa Cove. Empty wooden boardwalk, an occasional cyclist or jogger. Think serenity, the sound of swishing water, the smell of the sea, gentle rays of the evening sun… With rows and rows of yachts moored at the jetty. When I finished my chore and opened the door There was a shadow in the pale moonlight.Figured that since we have spent a bomb on the rooms, we might as well hang around the place, instead of braving the crowd on other parts of the island on a Good Friday holiday. Well my knees were knockin' but I just kept walkin' and I made it to the place alright Well late that night my stomach didn't feel right and I new that I had to goĭown the winding path to the little out-house about sixty yards or so We dad booze and girls and a fireplace and music that could turn you on We had everything that a man could need except we didn't have an in-door john Well the last time I went campin' I was invited by a friend called Jake to a great, big, bear-proof cabin on a hill over looking a lake It was a bear! Great big mother of a bear! I was up in a flash, I did the hundred mile dash and I never, ever went back there! There was a great big hole in my brand new tent.
KNAPSACK ON MY BACK FULL
Had a cooler full of steaks and things and another one full of beer had plenty to eat had plenty to drink I could have stayed there for a yearĪbout two o'clock in the afternoon I strolled down to the lake I met a girl named Jan with a deep brown tan oh boy that was a breakīy ten that night we were snuggled up nice and the tent was zipped up tight I woke up about three, staring down at me, was a shadow in the pale moonlight. Well the next time I went campin' Took my brand new, water-proof tent to a campground full of people about the nicest place I ever went (NO CHORD) (THUMP 3 TIMES) It was a bear! D Great big mother of a bear! I was up in a flash, I did the ten mile dash and I never, ever went back there!

Woke up about three, staring down at me, was a shadow in the pale moonlight.
KNAPSACK ON MY BACK PATCH
About ten that night, just a little bit tight frying fillets in the setting sun.įound a patch of ground, and laid our sleeping bags down and we crawled in for the night. Well the day went great, went fishin' on the lake and we sure had a barrel of fun. And old Jack, he was an expert He'd been campin' for a whole lot of years So all we took was some fishin' gear, a skillet and a dozen beers. Chorus Oh boy, do I love bears, you can bet your life that I do, there ain't nothin' anywhere like a big, black bear as long as he's a mile away from you! Well the first time I went campin' just a knapsack on my back I hiked ten miles in to the bush with a buddy by the name of Jack. It's a simple, fun song for around the campfire with kids. Somewhere along the way I found the name 'Larry Clark' but I've never been able to verify it. All I know is 'Uncle Smokey' is suppose to hail from Saskatchewan. This song was a cult/humour favourite of the early 80's. I've looked all over for this and finally had to do it myself.
